Housekeeping was great, Room was clean and tidy everyday. Front desk was friendly and helpful except 3rd day. He was rude and unkind even about simple requests. Breakfast hot choices were not good but the breakfast attendant was fantastic. No hot water the night before or day of departure.
Great hotel, not top notch but definitely got a good deal at a 3 star hotel. Very happy to have stayed here it’s a little far of a walk to everything but we were around 12-17 miles a day in Rome walking so it wasn’t too much added walking on our trip. Would recommend to anyone staying in Rome looking for a great 3 star hotel.
The Gambrinus Hotel is conveniently located in Rome, within walking distance to iconic landmarks and delicious eateries! The hotel boasts a traditional look and feel, with friendly staff to accompany your trip. The hotel was clean and well maintained. I would highly recommend this affordable option to any travellers coming to the wonderful city of Rome! We will definitely be coming back.
Average in every way. Not going to be blown away but is a room to sleep in Rome where space is a luxury. The balcony room was a disappointment as it just faced inside with no view of anything. The best was the restaurant across the street, some of the best food I have ever had.
Stayed here with my partner for 3 nights whilst visiting Rome. It is in a nice area, a little further out, but the walk is nice.. we also used the e-scooters to get around, so made the journey to key tourists spots really quick!. The hotel room was on the smaller side, but it was big enough for us both and we felt very comfortable, so no complaints there. The bathroom was small, but again, this was fine for the two of us and we had no complaints ! The shower itself was small, so I would recommend upgrading to a more premium room for a more accessible shower for anyone who thinks that size may an issue for them in the shower.
It has been boiling hot in Rome this month, but the aircon in the room was a welcomed relief, I even woke up cold one night- so it was definitely effective! We stayed in a room on the fourth floor, it was extremely quiet. The mattress on the bed was a little hard, but we were both so tired from a day of walking that we fell asleep instantly, so it did not brother us at all! The room itself was cleaned daily and fresh towels were left each day too. All staff were really friendly and all ways greeted you with a smile. The breakfast itself was lovely, and the staff serving were always so willing to help. I had read a lot of negative reviews on here before our trip, so I was worried, but our experience was really positive, we had a wonderful stay and would definitely visit again!
A nice hotel, but as we were on a pre cruise deal we had a very small room. Hardly enough room to turn round in!
Staff very helpful and the breakfast adequate.
This hotel is the worst hotel to stay at . The staff is disgusting their service is bad. The breakfast was the worst. The ham I had one morning was bad and smelled . I had to throw it out and never went back to eat breakfast. We did breakfast on the outside. There are all thieves at this hotel. Taxi fare is a flat rate of €50 to and from the hotel, and there make you pay €60 at this hotel .I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. The shower is so small that no one can fit in it or have a decent shower can't move around in the shower. The Ac don't work. The fridge doesn't work . And the rooms need to be upgraded. Please, no one spends your money to go to this hotel .And it is very far from the airport and also everything in the city.i meant a group from Canada there and they were telling the staff accuse them of stealing water bottles to get money from them. They charge you a very high city tax more than any other country in Europe and there also charge it for kids.i have been to Portugal and Barcelona, and the UK and were never charged city tax for kids, only adults .This hotel is a money grabbing hotel. People beware of this hotel. They go into your room and clean even if you don't want it clean. Stay to hell away from this place it a nightmare.
Thanks for having us while visiting Rome!
The hotel has a wonderful location, wear comfy shoes and you can walk to basically all the major archaeological attractions.
The food recommendation we got was amazing!!

Thanks for helping us to have an unforgettable experience!
